+ Sedation Dentistry

Today's Dentistry are experts in no fear sedation dentistry. Our caring staff will help eliminate your anxiety when it comes to visiting the dentist! Sedation Today’s Dentistry prides themselves on their ability to help fearful patients receive the dental care they want and even help patients overcome their fears of dentistry. We have learned that there are thousands of people here in Canyon County who have had difficult dental experiences in their youth and are extremely frightened of going to the dentist. These people suffer with dental pain or an embarrassing smile because they feel there are no options available to them to overcome the barrier of fear. It didn’t take long for Dr. Keller and Dr. Hammer to recognize the need to find a way to help these fearful patients. Both doctors chose to obtain advanced education in Sedation Dentistry, allowing them to help numerous people in our area beat their fears of dentistry and get their mouths back into shape. Sedation Dentistry is when a patient receives calming, relaxing and memory reducing medicine -- either by taking pills or through an IV line -- prior to dental treatment. Most people are able to accomplish all of their dental treatment in one visit and have little to no recollection of it. It is a great alternative for people who are scared of the dentist! If you would like more information about Sedation Dentistry or would like to discuss our Sedation Dentistry options, please call our office at 208-466-8400 to schedule an appointment.

+ Root Canals

Are you in need of a root canal? If so, Today's Dentists are here for you. Call today 208-466-8400. Root canals Root Canal -- two words that probably strike terror in the hearts of most people! All of us have heard horror stories associated with root canals. We would like to declare that root canals, though no walk in the park, are certainly not what they use to be! Dr. Hammer recently said, ”Root canals are one of the most enjoyable procedures I do.” (Dr. Keller rolled his eyes at this statement because that was what he was going to say.) Dr. Hammer and Dr. Keller enjoy doing root canals, not because they enjoy inflicting pain, but because generally people needing root canals come into their chair in pain and leave with relief on their face as they begin the healing process. Modern technology has shortened the length of time it takes us to perform a root canal and the success of root canals has leaped to 90%! They just aren’t as bad as they used to be! If you would like to learn more about root canals, or discuss your root canal options, please call our office at 208-466-8400 to schedule an appointment.

+ Implants/Snap On Dentures

Do you need dental implants? If so, we are experts in reconstructive implants using the latest dental techniques. Dental implants have changed the world of dentistry and people’s mouths forever! When Dr. Keller was 15 years old he was hit in the mouth playing basketball. The tooth was injured and eventually needed to be pulled. In 1999, as a dental student, he had the tooth replaced with a dental implant. He now wishes that his tooth had hung on just a little longer, because the process of getting a dental implant has become so much easier and faster than it was 10-15 years ago! He hopes to fill the world with dental implants so that he doesn’t feel so alone and self-conscious. We (literally) know how difficult it is to loose your teeth and want to make it as simple as possible to replace them! We have invested in an x-ray machine that can take 3D images, allowing us to know what type of implant will work best for your situation, helping you heal the fastest and get you chewing and smiling again. We can replace one missing tooth or even a whole mouth full! If you would like to learn more about Dental Implants, or discuss your Dental Implant options, feel free to come into our office for a complimentary dental exam, x-rays and consultation. Denture Implants Dental implants are not just for replacing a missing tooth, but are just as commonly used to secure dentures. Dentures are often sloppy and denture cream can be even sloppier. Dental implants makes dentures stay put. Dr. Keller says that he gets the most hugs from his denture patients who get dental implants to hold their dentures down. It really seams to change their lives. The great thing about implants for dentures is that you have a choice between traditional implants and mini implants. Mini implants are about half the size and cost less. When a person doesn’t have enough bone or money for traditional implants, mini implants are a great option, and can provide an almost equal fit and occasionally are even superior. If you would like to learn more about Dental Implants for dentures, or discuss your Dental Implant options, please call our office at 208-466-8400 to schedule your complimentary consultation.

+ Crown & Bridge

A "crown" is basically a tooth shaped cap that is formed and then placed over a tooth. Crowns When teeth are broken down, weak, misshaped or have a bad color they can be “crowned” – also called capped or veneered – to both return them to good health and keep them looking good. Getting a crown means the poor enamel or coating of the tooth is removed and a beautiful custom porcelain shell is made, and cemented on top. A while back Dr. Keller cracked one of his molars and had to have a crown placed. (Don’t ask him about it, he is still embarrassed) He is pretty sure that if he can do it anyone can! If you would like to learn more about crowns, or discuss your crown options, please call our office at 208-466-8400 to schedule an appointment.

+ Preventive Dental Care

For great oral health we offer a preventive maintenance schedule to help! Give us a call at 208-466-8400. Preventive Dental Care We have a sign that hangs in our office that reads, “You don’t have to brush all of your teeth – just the ones you want to keep!” It’s true! Teeth are awesome and not needing to have dental work done is even more awesome! Those who have a perfect diet, brush just right and floss daily will really have very little need for the dentist. But the rest of us we need someone to keep tabs on our teeth! Hence the need for the gaudy phrase, “Preventative Dental Care.” This basically means getting your teeth cleaned and examined every 6 months at the dental office. Our patients who see the same hygienist without fail every six months, on average, are the people who rarely need any dental work done. Sure, on occasion they do something like eat a piece of peanut brittle and break a tooth, but overall they have great teeth. Being a regular in the hygenist’s chair seems to hold patients accountable for taking care of their teeth. These regular patients do a better job at home caring for their teeth and as a result spend less money fixing their teeth with the dentist. Good for them and great for their teeth!
